The Penn State Beaver Men's Basketball Program is pleased to announce that Andrew Brady of Marlington High School (Alliance, OH) has committed to attend Penn State Beaver as a student and as a basketball player.
The 6'5" forward has a reputation as a solid all-around player with a knack for offensive rebounding and scoring around the basket. As a senior at Marlington Andrew averaged 17.4 points per game and 12.2 rebounds per game. During his junior campaign Andrew averaged 11 points per game and 9.3 rebounds per game.
For his career Andrew totaled 773 points and 578 rebounds. This was good enough to help him become a 3 time letter winner at Marlington. In addition, Andrew also has been named First Team all NBC, First Team Division 2 District 3, First Team All Northeast Inland and Special Mention All Ohio.
Quoted as saying he is looking forward to "learning and continuing to play the game I love," Andrew will arrive at the Penn State Beaver Campus and look to use his versatility to help the team improve. Men's Basketball Coach Brian Bibey states, "Andrew will give us a presence in the paint and will do so many of the little things that we need to happen in order for us to be successful. He's an athletic player with good size who will fit in well with how we like to play."
