Vero Beach, FL -- Lady Lions fall to Sinclair twice in evening doubleheader.

In their first game of the doubleheader the Lady Lions were able to keep Sinclair's offense in check, giving up just one run in the second and one in the third while generating base runners of their own, but not being able to score.  In the fourth inning Beaver committed four errors resulting in four runs for Sinclair giving them a 6-0 lead.  The Lady Lions would give up another run in the fifth and three more in the 7th as they fell by a final score of 10-0.

The Lady Lions were getting base runners, with at least one in every inning, but they were not able to capitalize leaving a total of 12 runners on base through seven innings.

Leading the offense for Beaver were Rachael Charlier (Burgettstown, PA / Burgettstown) and Sarah Foose (New Bloomfield, PA / West Perry) who both went 2 for 3 in the game.

Game two of the night started in similar fashion to the first as the Lady Lions gave up a single run in the first and again in the third to fall behind 2-0.  The defense of Beaver fell apart in the fourth inning making five errors and givng up 14 runs.  In the fifth inning, the Lady Lions finally got on the board with a run on a Sunnie Liggett (Avella, PA / Avella) RBI single, but it was too little too late as they fell by a final score of 16-1.

Beaver returns to action tomorrow morning at the Chain of Lakes complex as they square off against Chicago Concordia and Deleware Valley at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. still looking for their first win of the week.
