Central Valley High School point guard Elle George has made an official commitment to join Penn State Beaver’s women’s basketball program in the fall of 2012.
“It is great having Elle as part of the program,” says Coach Moore. “We were really searching for a point guard that will be able to learn from (senior) Brittany Tomaselli and I feel Elle will fit that role well. She is a strong ball handler and shoots the ball well from the outside.”
Elle has been playing basketball since Elementary school. She chose to continue her basketball career at Penn State Beaver because she liked Coach Moore’s personality on and off the floor as well as the Lady Lions great history and reputation. “I chose Penn State Beaver because I think Coach Moore and I will get along great and the team’s history and talent is very impressive,” says George.
Academically Elle chose Penn State Beaver because of the small environment and help that she is able to receive. “When talking to former and current Penn State Beaver students, they told me that the professors do not accept failure. I hear the professors are there to help you whenever you need it and striving to do my best is very important to me.”
Aside from basketball, Elle’s other interests include listening to music, hanging with friends, reading, and playing the piano.
