Rochester, PA -- Beaver falls to rival Brandywine in a rematch of last seasons PSUAC Championship by a final score of 7-1.

Brandywine wasted no time getting things going in the rematch of last seasons championship, scoring their first goal just eight minutes into the game.  That early jolt to the Beaver defense was enough to hold Brandywine scoreless for the remainder of the first half.

In the second half, Beaver couldn't solidify their defense as they had in the first half, allowing an early goal from Brandywine to fall behind 2-0.  After ten scoreless minutes, Beaver gave up back to back goals in the 59th and 60th minute, but then scored a goal of their own off of the foot of junior, Jessica Spina, her fifth of the season.

Despite what looked to be an offensive spark, the Lady Lions of Beaver would give up an additional three goals to Brandywine, falling by a final score of 7-1.

In the net for Beaver was Brittany Zahn who faced 20 shots on goal in her ninety minutes of action.

The Lady Lions return to action tomorrow as they host the Pioneers of Alfred State at 2:00 p.m. at Green Valley Park.
