West Liberty, Ohio -- The women's soccer team fell to West Liberty, 0-9.

In their first match of the week, the Penn State women's soccer team traveled to Ohio, where they faced-off against West Liberty JV in their third game of the season. The ladies played a tough match against Point Park last Wednesday and hope to win tonight before playing in their first home game this weekend.

During the first half of the game, Beaver struggled against West Liberty and was unable to score before ending the first period. The second half faired just as difficult for the Lady Lions as they were unable to overcome the pressure by West Liberty's defenders, ending in a loss for the team. Beaver's final score was 0-9.

Despite the unfavorable overcome for the Lady Lions, the girls remained composed during the game. Senior Brittany Zahn, who played goalie, had an impressive 26 saves against West Liberty.

The ladies are now 0-3 in for the season but hope to turn the season around at home this weekend.

The women's soccer team will play their first home game this Saturday against Villa Maria at 2 p.m.
