Beaver Opens Conference with 93-54 Win

Monaca, PA - The Penn State Beaver men's basketball team ended its four game losing streak and won its conference opener in a 93-54 victory over Penn State Scranton.
In the first half, Beaver shot 51.4% and was 10-11 from the foul line, leading by 28 points (52-24). In the second half, the Lions outrebounded Scranton 30-12 and forced 12 turnovers.
Senior Zack Fetchin (Hopewell/Aliquippa, PA) led Beaver with 20 points. Sophomore Anthony McPherson (Center/Aliquippa, PA) contributed 11, and Freshman Mike Murcko (Shenango/New Castle, PA) added 10.
With the win, the Lions are now 4-4 and 1-0 in its conference. Next, they host Penn State Greater Allegheny on Monday, Dec. 7th at 8 p.m.
