York, PA - Today the Lions traveled to take on a PSUAC conference game in day 1 of their crossover. Penn State Beaver dropped an 89–62 decision at Penn State York. Beaver trailed by five at the break (39–34) after hanging around through the opening 20 minutes, but York's surge after halftime turned a competitive start into a lopsided final. The loss moved Beaver to 3–8 overall and 1–3 in conference play (records as listed on the box score).
In the first half, Beaver did enough to stay within striking distance by spreading the offense around and getting multiple ball-handlers involved, finishing the period with 34 points. The Lions generated looks from the perimeter and found some success attacking inside, but they couldn't consistently convert from deep, which limited their ability to erase York's early edge before intermission. The game swung decisively in the second half as York poured in 50 points after the break, stretching the margin with efficient scoring and sustained pressure. Beaver scored 28 in the final 20 minutes but couldn't match the pace, and the deficit grew steadily as York controlled the flow down the stretch.
