Monaca, Pa. — Penn State Beaver defended its home court at the Beaver Fieldhouse on Jan. 17, holding their own against Penn State Lehigh Valley 66–50. Starting in the first half, Beaver led with Trevor Franklin and Ny'zir Dix scoring 7 points each. Lehigh Valley tried to stay strong but ultimately fell to Beaver at halftime 32-24.Still, Beaver kept their cushion til the end and proved enough to secure the victory finishing with 66-50.
Beaver's stat line showed promise throughout the game. Ny'zir Dix dominated with 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting, contributing 4 rebounds plus one assist and one steal. Trevor Franklin scored 8 points on 2-of-4 shooting and Allen Cole also with 8 points on 3-of-3 shooting. Beaver constantly switching their lineup gave ample time to rest up, recuperate, and - in the end - secure victory.
