Monaca, Pa--- Penn State Beaver (12-4) hosted a playoff game against rival Penn State Greater Allegheny (10-6).
In the first set Beaver came out slow comitting four crucial errors and Greater Allgheny won 25-16. In the second set Beaver fought back hard but fell short 26-24. In the third set Beaver was fighting to stay in it by forcing Greater Allegheny to make errors but still fell short 25-22.
Beaver lost the playoff game 3-0 despite Ryanne "Roxy" Kie (Laguna, NM/Laguna Acoma) leading the team with 11 kills.
According to Coach Bertges, Beaver exceeded her expectations this season and this was a tough way to end the year. Beaver had a great season finishing 12-5 in the PSUAC. This was Beaver's best season in the conference in years and they look forward to continuing to grow the program in years to come.
